In 2022, the cotton flower becomes a symbol of the victory of the Ukrainian people over the occupying forces that used to come to our land even in the last century.

The hand that brought this flower into the world is Ukraine.

PO-2 fence as a symbol of connection with the former Soviet space.

A hole in the form of a heart is a symbol of love despite the indicated wounds. It is a pity that it was the war that revealed our love for life and to our close ones!

After the war, we need to keep this experience and to pass on love to the next generation.

The Kyiv Region of the war period is densely covered with scars of the first 4 months of the war. We will never forget Bucha, Borodianka, resiting Hostomel and Vorzel. Bomb hits on Kyiv and the region will be sadly etched in memory.

No matter how dark it was, spring came to the Kyiv Region and adorned with flowers destroyed houses, barred fences, and our tired souls.

A great victory happened, greater than you or me – nature won. It is a force stronger and more life-giving than any in the world.

The same herbs and flowers that we enjoy now will flourish on the slopes of the Dnipro River for our descendants.

Zhytomyr inspires to immerse in the secret thickets and old traditions of this land with its forests, rivers, and ancient estates.

Nowadays, we all feel the lack of light. Despite that, the colors come through darkness and this reminds the starry sky spread over the expanses of the north.

The coat of arms of Zhytomyr serves as the heart, which unites and concentrates city’s the centuries-old history, which is always ready to welcome guests and repulse enemies.

The border became the red line although recently it was quite conditional among these impassable swamps and forests. Thanks to defenders, this pulsating vein today is an unbreakable line for enemies. When the ghost of war finally dissipates and the sun rises over the north, Zhytomyr will once again regain its usual bright colors.

During the war, Khmelnytskyi became a reliable rear fortress, a new home for many immigrants, enterprises relocated from the occupied regions, and a new agricultural center. In short, everyone “ploughs like a horse” here.

The coat of arms of Podillia is the golden face of the sun, so I depicted all the diversity of Podillia suns: military, industrial, and civilian.

In this work, I tried to combine two metaphors: the lion, which is an ancient symbol of Lviv, and Galicia with the Boyko hut.

The Lviv Region became a place of refuge for many Ukrainians in the first weeks of the war.

The lion here symbolizes the guardian, which represents all the defenders who are currently defending our country.

Cherkasy is located in the center of Ukraine. Fortunately, the region did not see active military actions on their territory. Residents of many other regions were less fortunate. Russian invaders took many lives, hit cities, and ruined people’s homes. Escaping from the horrors of war, many Ukrainians found safety and home in Cherkasy and the region.

This work depicts Cherkasy as a warm and safe house that is ready to lend a helping hand to all who need it. Provide support and comfort, because there is strength in unity and all troubles are not so terrible when we are together!

Sumy is one of the first cities that met the invaders, but at that time there was no army or even police, so the city was defended by ordinary people who were formed into a ground defense, not having normal weapons or equipment. This is precisely what is depicted in the art work, the chaos that quickly transformed into an organized defense.

In particular, the art work contains elements of an Adidas tracksuit, it is not about the “bad 90s” in Sumy, it is about the fact that defenders often did not have military equipment and defended the city in civilian clothes, often without helmets or body armor.

There is a heart in a harmonious weave of yellow and blue as a symbol of Ukrainian love, which harmoniously expands from the middle of Ukraine and spreads to all territories and cities.

From the heart, a pixel pattern is formed and expands, which turns into the army camouflage. This attribute is interpreted as a symbol of the resistance of the Ukrainian people, who are fighting the occupier at all levels in the united country.

Number 4.5.0. means “everything is calm”. This is the military term for cyborgs.

Yasya Volkova, Odesa

You see the sea cleared of mines, a golden beach, a warm sunset, caricature contours of Odesa and a girl in a swimsuit stands. She has a swimming ring, a cross, and an anchor tattoo – the symbol of Odesa.

The cross symbolizes faith and hope. A pixel is a patern of a Ukrainian military uniform, as well as the words “I Love ZSU”- will become fashionable.

The girl has a prosthetic hand. We don’t know it happened. What is obvious – she has thirst for life and new adventures.

There is no the monument to Ekaterina, but there is an Easter egg, inherent to the Odesa humor.
